How is SmartChat different from my website?
Your website is used to directly sell your reservations. SmartChat is designed to provide all the information to your Guests before their arrival and during their stay at your property, as well as it gives both you and your Guests the platform for live communication. Your hotel can collect real Guest data, and marketing consent and use it to generate more revenue!
Does the implementation of SmartChat require additional training for my employees?
Absolutely not. SmartChat can be set up by one person in just 30 minutes. The only task of your Guest Services departments remains to point out the QR code to your Guests on the stand at the reception desk and ask them to scan it.
Can I edit sections, widgets, and automatic replies myself?
Of course! All settings are on your side. You decide yourself if and which widgets and sections should be active on your account. You can fill them with content - text, images, links, and pdf files. You can freely set the order of widgets, name the sections, and choose a color scheme that matches your brand! Your response to your Guests’ questions can be even faster - you can set the automatic replies for the most common questions your Guest have in the Chat windows.
Can I add more language versions?
At the moment we support EN, ES, DE, and PL versions. We have plans to add more language versions in the coming months. If you need any additional ones, let us know and we will let you know what we can do for you in this matter.
How do I try it and do I have to commit?
SmartChat is a subscription product (like Netflix or Spotify). You can sign up for a free account and use it for free for 7 days without any commitment. So you don't need to sign any additional contract, and you will only pay if you decide to keep SmartChat in your hotel after the trial period.
But we already have our mobile app.
Great! With SmartChat, you can further promote your app and increase the number of downloads. We know that not all arriving Guests install the hotel app - you can then encourage them to simply scan the QR code at the reception desk, and add a special widget to your hotel's account to redirect those who have not installed the hotel app yet.
How should Guests start using SmartChat in my hotel?
In your account you will find ready-made materials with personalized graphics for your hotel - they include a QR code and a link to your hotel's SmartChat. Graphics with a QR code simply need to be set up, for example, at the reception desk and then your front desk staff will ask and encourage each Guest to scan the QR code at check-in.
What's more, keep in mind that the QR code leads directly to the SmartChat in the web browser on the Guest’s phones. Therefore, it is a very good practice to also add a link to this page in the welcome messages or booking confirmations, which Guests receive before their arrival. The combination of these two simple tactics guarantees an increase in the usability of your SmartChat, and thus Guest satisfaction and a sense of comfort during their stay.
